Limit State Method (LSM) एक आधुनिक structural design approach है, जिसे वर्तमान में RCC और Steel Structures के design में सबसे ज़्यादा अपनाया जाता है। यह विधि IS 456 और IS 800 जैसे codes में मान्य है।

🔍 लिमिट स्टेट मेथड क्या है?

इस method में structure को दो मुख्य स्थितियों के लिए जांचा जाता है:

  1. Limit State of Collapse (LSC): Structure की strength और stability को सुनिश्चित करता है ताकि वह failure न हो।
  2. Limit State of Serviceability (LSS): Structure की usability और comfort को check करता है, जैसे – deflection, vibration और cracks।

⚖️ Partial Safety Factors

  • Loads पर: Dead Load, Live Load, Wind Load आदि पर अलग-अलग safety factors लगाए जाते हैं।
  • Material Strength पर: जैसे Concrete और Steel की characteristic strength पर भी safety factor लगाया जाता है।
