ये Rocks Magma के ठंडा होने से बनती हैं। Granite और Basalt इसके प्रमुख उदाहरण हैं।

2. Sedimentary Rocks

ये Rocks मिट्टी, रेत तथा अन्य कणों के जमाव से बनती हैं। Sandstone तथा Limestone इसके उदाहरण हैं।

3. Metamorphic Rocks

Heat और Pressure के प्रभाव से परिवर्तित Rocks को Metamorphic Rocks कहते हैं। Marble तथा Quartzite इसके उदाहरण हैं।
