Hardness Test कितने प्रकार के होते हैं? Brinell, Rockwell और Vickers Test कैसे अलग हैं?
Hardness Test किसी material की सतह की कठोरता को मापने के लिए किया जाता है, जिससे यह पता चलता है कि वह material indentation, scratching या deformation को कितना resist कर सकता है। कई प्रकार के hardness tests विकसित किए गए हैं, जिनमें प्रमुख हैं – Brinell, Rockwell और Vickers।
Hardness Test के मुख्य प्रकार:
1. Brinell Hardness Test (BHN)
इसमें एक steel या tungsten carbide ball को material की surface में force से दबाया जाता है। Indentation का diameter measure कर hardness निकाली जाती है।
2. Rockwell Hardness Test (HR)
यह सबसे तेज और आसान hardness test है। इसमें steel ball या diamond cone (brale) का उपयोग होता है और depth of penetration से hardness पढ़ी जाती है।
3. Vickers Hardness Test (VHN)
यह microhardness testing के लिए उपयुक्त है। इसमें diamond pyramid-shaped indenter का use होता है और indentation की दोनों diagonals को मापा जाता है।
Brinell, Rockwell और Vickers Test में मुख्य अंतर:
