Slab design reinforced concrete structures का एक महत्वपूर्ण हिस्सा है। Slab को mainly दो types में divide किया जाता है – One Way Slab और Two Way Slab। इनका selection span length और support conditions पर depend करता है। इस article में हम One Way और Two Way Slab का difference detail में समझेंगे।

One Way Slab क्या है?

जब slab का longer span (L) shorter span (B) की तुलना में बहुत ज्यादा हो, यानी L/B ratio ≥ 2 हो, तो slab load transfer केवल shorter span direction में करता है। ऐसे slab को One Way Slab कहा जाता है।

• Load transfer केवल one direction में होता है।

Two Way Slab क्या है?

जब slab का L/B ratio < 2 होता है, तो slab load transfer दोनों directions में करता है। ऐसे slab को Two Way Slab कहते हैं।

• Main reinforcement दोनों directions में provide किया जाता है।
• Generally square या rectangular rooms में use होता है।
• दोनों spans effectively supports पर rest करते हैं।
