Modified Proctor Test standard Proctor test का advanced version है, जो higher compactive effort apply करता है। इसका उद्देश्य high-density embankments, highways और airfield pavements के लिए soil compaction specification determine करना है।
Test का उद्देश्य

Test Procedure
- Soil sample prepared at different moisture contents
- Placed in standard mold in layers (usually 5 layers)
- Each layer compacted with heavier rammer (4.5 kg) falling from 45 cm, 25 blows per layer
- Wet density measured and dry density calculated using moisture content
- Compaction curve plotted: dry density vs moisture content

- Maximum Dry Density (MDD): Higher than Standard Proctor due to higher compactive effort
- Optimum Moisture Content (OMC): Slightly lower than Standard Proctor in most soils
