Velox boiler एक water tube boiler है जो high velocity gas flow और pressure का उपयोग करता है। इसमें combustion chamber में compressed air का प्रयोग होता है जिससे combustion बहुत तेज़ होता है।

High velocity and pressure combustion → super-fast steam generation

🔹 Construction & Working

Compressor द्वारा air को compress किया जाता है
Compressed air furnace में fuel के साथ जलता है → high speed flue gases
यह gases tubes में flow करके water को steam में बदल देती हैं
Steam को superheater और फिर turbine में भेजा जाता है

Very compact design
Extremely high heat transfer rate
Suitable for gas turbines

🔹 Disadvantages:

Very high initial cost
Not suitable for low load conditions
