Conic Sections

Engineering Graphics में Conic Sections एक अत्यंत महत्वपूर्ण topic है। Conic Sections वे curves हैं जो एक cone को विभिन्न कोणों पर काटने से प्राप्त होती हैं। Engineering, Architecture, Machine Design, Automobile Engineering तथा Aerospace Engineering में इन curves का व्यापक उपयोग किया जाता है।

• Major Axis तथा Minor Axis होते हैं।

Properties

Ellipse के किसी भी point से दोनों foci तक की distances का योग constant रहता है।

3. Parabola

जब cutting plane cone की किसी generator के समानांतर होता है तब Parabola प्राप्त होता है।
